yeap..i forgot what's the plugin name but i am very sure it has one Very Happy...as long as you have the plugin manager downloaded in npp (or notepad plus plus) you won't have any trouble getting the plugins and it also automatically installs it for you.

I actually used it during my COBOL and JAVA courses. It also allows you to clone the current view and split it between your screen..this is especially helpful if you have COBOL classes as you won't need to keep on scrolling up to the top to check the names of your variable as COBOL codes are very very very long

I think I would choose Zeus Editor....

Zeus has been designed to be language neutral and by this we mean it can be configured to support almost any programming language. In most cases the task of adding language support it is as simple as creating a new document type, add the file extensions for the language and importing the list of keywords from a text file.

Zeus also comes "pre-configured"for the following programming languages:

1) embeddable C/C++ interpreter
2) C#
3) C/C++
4) Clipper
5) Cobol
6)D
7HTML
8Fortran
9Forth
10Java
11JavaScript
12LaTex
13Lua
14MS-DOS Batch
15Pascal
16Perl
17PHP
18Python / IronPython
19PowerShell
20Rexx
21Ruby
22SAS
23Verilog
24VHDL
25Visual Basic

* And comes with keyword lists pre-defined for the following langauges:

1) Ada 95
2) Assembler
3) Basic
4) Cicode
5) dBase
6) Delphi
7) Eiffel
Cool SQL

*Even if your language is not listed above, to get Zeus to read your language just create a list of the language keywords and take the few seconds to create a new document type.

Speaking of Java compiler,
I'll go for Eclipse JavaEE IDE 3.5.2 instead of Netbeans IDE 6.8.

On C/C++ Development,
I'll go for DevCPP 2.9.9.2 instead of Turbo Pascal 3.0 and Eclipse C/C++ 3.5

On C# Development,
Well of course, Visual Studio 2010.

Eclipse is okay but is also heavy like Netbeans. I'm trying to veer away from these 'heavy' IDEs because I don't have the resources (haha, pulubi kasi walang pambili ng laptop). Naka Atom-powered netbook lang ako so as much as possible I'm using lightweight IDEs like Geany. Pag nasa bahay okay lang ako gumamit ng mga ganitong IDE. Very Happy

Yung VIM pwedeng all around IDE (plus it's lightweight since it's just an improved version of Vi and Ex editor), kaso mababa pa ang vimrc-fu ko T_T

I just switched to Vim recently for most of my development (PHP/Javascript).

Vim pops out in less than a sec after I execute the "gvim" command on the start menu. Ready for combat. Lot of programmers and sysadmins swear by it. You can easily code without moving your hands away from the keyboard, avoiding the mouse-keyboard dance.

Vim is not really a fully featured IDE, but it works, gets the job done, and FAST. It's also fun to learn the key bindings and experiment with some useful plugins.
